From the very beginning, art and close collaborations with artists have been an important part of Ege Carpets core values and we constantly support several art projects with established or upcoming artists. Mads Eg Damgaard, the founder of Ege Carpets, had a lifelong love for challenging the well-known and for being a pioneer in uniting business with unique design, modern art and international architecture.
Why was he eager to do this?
Because he was convinced that the industry and artists need each other. He believed that creative people could raise the quality of the industry’s production and that the industry could give the artists jobs and thereby a better livelihood.
To Mads Eg Damgaard it was important to bring the art to the people.
