WT
Woven textile
WT is a durable woven textile backing developed for wall-to-wall carpets for areas exposed to heavy use, including intense foot traffic and wheeled office chairs. It’s well suited for offices, conference rooms, hotels, restaurants, bars and public spaces. Made from polypropylene, WT provides good walking comfort, sound absorption and dimensional stability. The stable construction also makes the carpet easy to install and helps ensure precise pattern matching. WT can be installed directly onto the subfloor or combined with a separate underlay for additional comfort and acoustic performance. Installation on grippers adds further cushioning, elasticity and impact sound reduction.
AB
Acoustic Backing
AB is developed for wall-to-wall carpets to enhance acoustic performance and walking comfort in spaces where sound and wellbeing are important considerations. The felt backing is made from recycled polyester fibre and helps absorb both airborne and impact sound while providing a softer feel underfoot. The integrated acoustic layer eliminates the need for a separate underlay, simplifying installation and helping save both time and costs. Made from polyester, AB is suitable for a wide range of commercial interiors, including lobbies, corridors, hotel rooms, offices and conference rooms.
ECT 350
Ecotrust 350 felt
EcoTrust 350 Felt combines enhanced acoustic performance and walking comfort with a high content of recycled materials, and it suitable for carpet tiles and -planks. Made from at least 95% recycled polyester fibers, the felt backing gives existing resources a new purpose while providing the performance required for contemporary commercial interiors. Its acoustic properties help reduce impact sound and create a more comfortable environment, while the soft felt construction adds extra comfort underfoot. This makes EcoTrust 350 Felt a strong choice for interiors where acoustics, comfort and material considerations all play an important role.
ECC
Eco Comfort 300 / 550
ECC is a recycled polyester felt backing specially developed for our flat-woven wall-to-wall carpets. Available in 300 g and 550 g versions, it provides additional comfort and sound absorption, with the 550 g option offering an enhanced level of both. The felt construction combines good acoustic performance with a comfortable feel underfoot, making carpets with ECC backing well suited for offices, corridors, hotels, restaurants, retail spaces and public interiors.
PVB
Polyvinyl butyral
Recycled PVB offers a responsible alternative to conventional binders used in carpet precoat and adhesives. Sourced from post-consumer materials, it gives valuable resources a new purpose while helping to reduce waste and lower environmental impact. Alongside its recycled content, PVB provides the adhesion, flexibility and durability needed for high-performance carpet constructions. The result is a binder that combines reliable performance with a more considered use of materials – without compromising the quality or longevity of the carpet.
LWT
Laminated woven textile
LWT is available for our Graphic carpets and provides a highly durable and dimensionally stable foundation. A thin lamination layer bonds the carpet and textile backing together while keeping the overall construction lightweight. The result is a stable carpet that is easy to handle and install, while supporting precise fitting and pattern matching.
LT
Laminated textile
LT is available exclusively for Colortec carpets. The backing is made from Malivat felt, a highly durable textile that helps maintain the carpet’s dimensions during handling and installation. A thin lamination layer bonds the carpet and textile backing together while keeping the overall construction lightweight. This creates excellent dimensional stability and makes installation and precise pattern matching easier.
LF
Laminated felt
LF provides the highest level of underfoot comfort among our laminated backing options for Colortec and Graphic carpets. The felt backing is made from recycled polyester fibers abd is bonded to the carpet using a thin lamination layer, creating a stable construction while maintaining a soft and comfortable feel underfoot. Its dimensional stability makes the carpet easy to handle and install and supports precise pattern matching.
