Brøchner Hotels, Hotel Hans

Segment
Hospitality

Set between the urban energy of Nørrebro and the classic elegance of Frederiksberg, Hotel Hans brings the character of its Copenhagen surroundings inside. Rather than creating a traditional home away from home, the hotel is conceived as an escape from the everyday. Textured concrete meets subtle green nuances, while industrial elements sit alongside sleek marble and warm wooden surfaces – reflecting the meeting of the two neighbourhoods just outside.

Throughout the hotel, the flooring adds another layer to the story. In the corridors, a specially designed Highline carpet interprets an original wallpaper discovered in the former girls’ rooms beneath the roof during the renovation. Reimagined in deep green tones, the design brings a subtle reference to the building’s past into its new expression.

In the guest rooms, the Leaf design from ReForm Transition has been adapted to a Highline loop construction and recoloured in soft grey-green nuances. Inspired by an abstraction of leaves, the design also connects naturally to the hotel’s location on the edge of Frederiksberg, a district known for its emphasis on trees and greenery in the urban environment.
