Recently opened in August 2014 this hotel is the perfect match to the electric atmosphere no matter if you are a business traveller, a sports enthusiast or a tourist savoring the region’s breathtaking scenery beautified by the lakes Mosvannet and Stokkavannet, as well as the forests of Sørmarka.

With 400 rooms, 14 conference rooms and a total conference capacity of 1,800 m2, Clarion Hotel Energy has a rich selection of conference facilities and flexible solutions for two to 1,000 guests.
The hotel offers a ground floor with an inviting atmosphere, a stylish selection of furnishings, exquisite flavours to be enjoyed in the restaurant and refreshing drinks in the bar.
The architectural firm Snøhetta Oslo AS has developed the design for the ege carpets installed in the conference center, the main conference hall and the corridors.
The design intent for the x-shaped hotel with extremely long corridors was to give a visual variation along the corridor and a recognition of the room numbers. The color code, inspired by colors linked to energy made the foundation of the carpet design. Thus, intensity, fire, warmth and growth were some of the keywords in the creative process.
"The corridor carpets are divided into two color schemes: a green and a red color variation, both using a dark anthracite background. Each variation is built up with three matching colors. The main colors are linked to the colors of the furniture and the walls. The colored stripes in the carpets are changing in intensity and distance, with a smooth flow making the colors interlace and an intense color pointing out the door to the hotel rooms".
CECILIA LANDMARK, SNØHETTA OSLO AS
Carpets with special design are an ideal solution when aiming for effective and beautiful paths for way-finding as described above. Alternatively, carpet tiles can also reflect the social aspect of a room by playing with tonal range and accent colour to create neighbourhoods, paths for way-finding etc. Moreover, carpet tiles are extremely easy to install and change if necessary.
