Industrial Landscape by Tom Dixon

Inspired by the raw and imperfect London

A landscape of railways, tunnels, factories and workshops, where imperfect surfaces and working materials define the urban fabric. Patinated metal, deconstructed brick and the grey, shifting water of the River Thames form a city marked by use, repair and constant transformation. Industrial Landscape draws directly from the city that has shaped Tom Dixon’s work.

The collection comprises seven designs, each referencing a distinct element of the cityscape. Coal and Iron explore two fundamental industrial materials – from dense, dark matter to oxidised metal with uneven, evolving patination. Smoke evokes the residue of factories and workshops, while Wash takes inspiration from the temporary white coatings of renovation sites. Blur captures the city reflected and distorted through water, Tide mirrors the ever-changing sediments of the Thames, and Brick pays tribute to the iconic London brick found throughout the urban landscape.
