After many years of dedicated efforts to reduce our CO₂ emissions with good results, we have decided to take it to the next level. Our short-term targets have been validated by the The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science.

Science Based Targets lead the way
With our commitment we undertake to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50.6% by FY2030 from a FY2019 base year. We also commit to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions covering purchased goods and services and end-of-life treatment of sold products 27.5% within the same timeframe.
The Science Based Targets initiative has validated that the science-based greenhouse gas emissions reductions target(s) submitted by Ege Carpets conform with the SBTi Criteria and Recommendations (Criteria version 5.1)

Renewable energy
Every year, we increase investment in energy from offshore wind turbines, and thus the energy consumption at all our production locations is covered by investments in 100% renewable energy. It reduces the impact on the environment and supports our agenda for a sustainable future.
